Why LIAT?

A big challenge in the classroom lab is divorcing students from the idea of “the right answer” in scientific endeavors.  LIAT's greatest asset is freeing students to experiment and collect their own data. “The data are the data” is a phrase that is repeated often in my labs.  I emphasize experimental design, communication of trends or lack thereof in the data and interpretation within the scope of biology.
