Brian Swisher has been an Instructor and Lab Coordinator in the Biology Department as Saint Michael’s College since 2016. He holds B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Biology from the University of Illinois, training in secondary education from the Teacher Apprenticeship Program, and is thankful to be teaching at a small liberal arts institution with a priority on student success. His expertise in aquatic and behavioral ecology comes from years of work in many research positions at many institutions. His passion is using his accumulated knowledge to bring laboratory experiences for undergraduate student to life in exciting ways that use live organisms whenever possible. He currently teaches first year students in Introductory courses in Ecology and Evolution and Cell and Molecular Biology and is proud to teach upper-level students his favorite topic as an undergraduate- Behavioral Ecology.
